Indian Tablecloths

There are many choices of beautiful Indian tablecloths online. They are made in various sizes, including round, oval, and rectangle shapes to fit any type of table. Different sizes make it possible to cover and decorate almost any table. Many Indian tablecloths are printed with intricate designs of deep red, blue, and other vivid colors. Some of the tablecloths are made for everyday use and others are very fancy for a party or for another special occasion.

Many Indian tablecloths are made from hand woven fabric and are hemmed and finished by artisans in India. One style is printed with scrolls of vines with flowers all over it except for the border that has been hand printed by using carved wooden blocks. Turquoise flowers with green stems are printed on a crème colored background. The seams are double stitched for durability. This style of Indian tablecloths is made from cotton that has been preshrunk. It can be machine washed in cold water. This style is made in either 70 inch round or 90 round and some rectangle sizes.

Another style is made of damask and has red poppies printed on it. It is especially made for a party or banquet. Each of the Indian tablecloths is one of a kind because it is handmade. Another style of party Indian tablecloths would add a touch of warmth to any dining area. It is made in colors of cinnamon, turmeric, and turquoise on a red orange background. Each tablecloth is made by using hand carved blocks that are used to print the pattern on the background.

Some Indian tablecloths look like the same silk fabric that is used to make a sari or Indian dress.  One of these is a rectangle deep purple tablecloth that has a golden tan pattern with many details outlined in chocolate brown. This party tablecloth would make any occasion more special because of its beautiful and luxurious look. It is printed in patterns that are popular in Rajasthan where block printing is very popular. Another of the party Indian tablecloths that is made for 90 round tables is printed on a fabric that is rose in color. White blossoms are printed on the fabric, and there is a thick border around the bottom with pink flowers on a crème colored background.

Batik prints are another style of Indian tablecloths that are printed by hand with wooden blocks. A superior grade of cotton is used to make these tablecloths that are indigo blue and white. For a truly Asian look, there is another Indian tablecloths style that has many elephants carrying kings on top of them. The background is deep burgundy red with other shades of burnt orange, ivory, light and dark green, and brown. This party tablecloth would be ideal for a dinner party that served Indian dishes such as curry and various Indian foods.
