Mexican Tablecloths Make Any Fiesta More Fun


Mexican tablecloths brighten up any party because of their vibrant color combinations, but they are also good for everyday use. In the summertime, there is no better picnic tablecloth for a patio or deck table than one of the Mexican tablecloths. Stripes of blue, red, orange, yellow, and gold coordinate well with many kinds of outdoor furniture. Having one of these tablecloths in your home or in your outdoor living space is like having your own slice of sunshine.

Another unique style for either indoors or outdoors is a rectangle tablecloth. It has a black background, but very little black shows on the design because it is covered with symbols of Mexican food and drink in bright colors. It is made in sturdy vinyl and has flannel on the underside. The dominant color is red with touches of yellow, brown, gold, purple, and green. Economical plastic table covers in plastic are also for sale at cheap prices. They are white with rows of red, green, and gold stripes on either end of the rectangle shaped tablecloths.

Oilcloth vinyl Mexican tablecloths are another popular choice for table covers. There are bright floral table linens that have a turquoise background with flowers in dark blue, red, and gold. It is also made with a gold background that has the same groupings of flowers in dark blue, red, and orange. These tablecloths are available in sizes to fit square or rectangle tables.

Red chili peppers are often used to adorn Mexican tablecloths. One style is an ivory cotton tablecloth with rows of red and orange chili peppers with green stems around all four sides of the rectangle table covers. Another style is similar to this except that it has a checkered green border with red chili peppers outlining the top of the rectangle. The top of the tablecloth is also covered with a sprinkling of red chili peppers.

There are also fine quality handmade keepsake Mexican tablecloths that can be purchased online. One style is natural cotton that is hand loomed cotton that is made with natural dyes. The colors are lapis blue and white in a striped design. These handmade table linens are available only in rectangle sizes.

Handmade table runners can be used over a tablecloth underneath or by themselves, which is the usual way that they are used as table covers. They often have fringe on the edges that hangs down over the edges of the table. Sometimes Mexican tablecloths are modeled after the bright stripes of Mexican blankets. They have a rainbow of colors that almost always includes red. 

By looking online at websites that sell table linens, it is possible to find many more interesting Mexican tablecloths.
